Terms & Conditions
This document outlines the Terms and Conditions for booking and attending events organised by Veylston SARL-S (operating under the commercial trade name "Minute Dating"). By purchasing a ticket, you agree to these terms in full.
1. Cancellations, Refunds, and Ratio Security
Our professional events are organised to ensure a balanced gender ratio in accordance with our Social Protocol. Therefor, each registration is integral to the event's structure. The minimum registered capacity required to execute an event is strictly 10 registered participants. If the registered count falls below this threshold 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time, the Company reserves the right to cancel the event in accordance with our standard cancellation policies. We do not offer refunds if you cancel your booking, fail to attend, or provide notice with in the late cancellation window. A refund is only issued if we, the organiser, are forced to cancel an event. In the event of an organiser-initiated cancellation due to operational requirements (such as failing to reach minimum capacity or critical ratio imbalance), participants will be notified via email at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time. In rare, highly exceptional cases of sudden, unforeseen emergencies beyond our reasonable control (Force Majeure - such as sudden venue closure, extreme weather events, or acute host illness) occurring within 24 hours of the event, we reserve the right to cancel the event on shorter notice. Under such circumstances, participants will be notified immediately via both email and SMS, as this constitutes an urgent, last-minute logistical adjustment. Upon any organiser-initiated cancellation, a full refund will be automatically processed back to the original payment method used at checkout. Please note that while we initiate refunds instantly, the funds may take 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution's processing times.
2. Early Cancellations and Ticket Transfers (More than 48 hours' notice)
This is the only scenario where the value of a ticket can be retained. A one-time transfer to a future event (valid for 6 months) is permitted under the following conditions:
-
Request: Must be emailed to hello@minutedating.eu at least 48 hours prior to the start time.
-
Limits: One transfer per ticket; maximum of two transfers per calendar year per individual.
-
Third-Party: Transfers to another person are allowed only if they are of the same gender and meet the age criteria (35–55).
3. Punctuality, Late Cancellations, and No-Shows
Punctuality is a mandatory requirement for ratio security. The registration window is 19:00 -19:30, and the introductions begin strictly at 19:30.
Access Gate: Entry is permitted only until 19:30. Participants arriving after 19:30 or after the commencement of the first introductory round will be denied entry. Once the welcome speech is completed and the first round has officially started, access is strictly prohibited. To manage this access gate and protect ratio security on-site, the organiser reserves the right to send active, automated or manual SMS punctuality checks to non-arrived participants starting at 19:15, in accordance with our Social Protocol.
Definitions and Penalties:
-
Late Cancellation: A cancellation made with less than 48 hours' notice. The ticket is forfeited, but no penalty strike is issued.
-
No-Show: Defined as a participant who fails to attend without any prior email notification at hello@minutedating.eu before 19:00 on the event day, or a participant who arrives after 19:30 and is denied entry.
We enforce a Three-Strike Penalty System within a calendar year for No-Shows:
-
1st No-Show: Formal email warning.
-
2nd No-Show: 90-day suspension from all events.
-
3rd No-Show: Permanent attendance restriction.
The strike count for individuals with one or two no-shows resets to zero annually on January 1st. A permanent attendance restriction is final and does not reset. We understand that genuine emergencies can occur, and we encourage you to contact us directly at hello@minutedating.eu in such situations so we can note your account accordingly.
4. Linguistic Eligibility
English fluency is a mandatory participation criterion. All participants must be able to communicate effectively in English to ensure the quality of the interactions for the entire group. By confirming their linguistic eligibility during the checkout process, the participant warrants that they are fluent in English and capable of effortless social interaction. We reserve the right to revoke access, without refund, to any participant whose linguistic alignment was misrepresented and disrupts the experience for others in accordance with our Social Protocol.
5. Operational Standards and Procedures
Minute Dating operates under fixed standard operating procedures regarding venue selection, procedural execution, the selection of event materials, arrival gastronomy, and drink inclusions. These procedures are engineered to ensure the professional quality, operational flow, and efficiency of the event in accordance with the community rules established in our Social Protocol. We do not adjust these standards based on individual feedback or preference. All additional food or beverages ordered by a participant outside of the standard inclusions are at the participant’s own charge and must be settled directly with the venue.
6. Reservation Requirement and On-Site Sales
To maintain ratio security, operational preparation, and the professional quality of our community, all participants must secure their tickets in advance via our website. Online ticket sales close strictly 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the event. We do not offer on-site ticket sales, same-day registrations, or last-minute bookings. Entry is strictly reserved for confirmed ticket holders who registered before the 24-hour deadline to ensure the group safety and quality standards defined in our Social Protocol.
7. Venue and Schedule Adjustments
We reserve the right to change the venue to a comparable location within the same city or adjust the start time by up to 30 minutes to accommodate logistical requirements. Participants will be notified of any venue changes via email at least 24 hours prior to the start of the event. For last-minute, urgent logistical adjustments within 24 hours of the event (such as sudden venue emergencies or schedule updates), or for active punctuality and attendance checks on-site during the registration window, we reserve the right to contact participants directly via SMS (text message) to ensure rapid, reliable communication, in accordance with our Social Protocol.
8. Participant Behaviour and Discretion
We provide a respectful environment for professionals. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to adhere to the Social Protocol. We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive or violates community standards. No refunds will be issued in such cases.
9. Matching Results, Delivery, and Community Diversity
To protect the privacy of our community, we only share your first name and the email address provided at checkout with your mutual connections. Contact details are never shared without mutual consent as defined in our Social Protocol. Our standard delivery window for connection results is 48 hours following the conclusion of the event. While we aim for maximum efficiency this time frame is an operational target and not a contractual guarantee. Our professional speed dating service is considered fully rendered once the results are dispatched from our systems. To ensure market liquidity and ratio security, our events utilise a community of both new and recurring professional participants. We do not guarantee a 100% new attendee pool for every event, nor do we guarantee that connections will respond to follow-up communications. Specific outcomes - including 'chemistry' or social, romantic, and long-term connections - are beyond our operational control and are subject to individual participant autonomy. Please note that the physical return of your selection card on-site to our Host is a mandatory prerequisite for selection processing. If a participant fails to return their selection card before departing the venue, the Company is fully released from its obligation to calculate or deliver their connection results, and no refund, booking transfer, or credit will be issued.
10. Technical Communication and Professional Integrity
Minute Dating provides proof of dispatch for all electronic communications, including but not limited to immediate ticket confirmations, connection results within our standard 48-hour window. The Company strives to handle all other professional communications - including logistical updates, billing questions, and administrative inquiries or requests - in a timely manner, with a standard target response window of 48 hours, and is not liable for the non-receipt or 'bouncing' of emails due to participant-side technical issues, such as full inboxes, incorrect address entry, or automated server-side filtering (Spam/Junk folders). Our professional service is considered fully rendered upon the successful dispatch of the communication from our systems as outlined in our Social Protocol.
11. Age Eligibility
Participation is strictly limited to individuals aged 35 to 55 at the time of the event. This age bracket is a mandatory requirement to ensure the assortative alignment of our professional community. By confirming their age during the checkout process, the participant warrants that they fall within this mandatory range. We reserve the right to deny entry to any individual who does not meet these eligibility requirements. In such cases, the ticket is immediately forfeited and no refund will be issued in accordance with our Social Protocol.
12. Privacy Guard and Right to Image
Minute Dating operates under a strict standard of absolute discretion. We do not record, photograph, or film participants during our events for any promotional use. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to adhere to the no-photography rule outlined in our Social Protocol. Any participant found taking unauthorised photos or videos of other attendees, the private interaction space, or confidential community documents (such as the attendee list or other participants’selection materials), or any participant who refuses to comply with the mandatory Badge Visibility Rule or the Asset Return & Mandatory Checkout outlined in our Social Protocol, will be immediately removed and subject to administrative strike logging in accordance with the penalty system outlined in Section 3 of our Terms. In such cases, the ticket is forfeited and no refund is issued.
13. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification
Minute Dating operates strictly as a professional social and speed dating platform facilitating face-to-face introductions. We do not conduct background checks, security screenings, or psychological evaluations of our participants. The Participant agrees that Veylston SARL-S (including its managing director, independent hosts, and contractors) shall have no legal liability for any injury, loss, or damage to the Participant resulting from harassment, assault, physical or emotional harm, or any other damage arising from any introduction, event attendance, or post-event contact facilitated by our services. The Participant shall indemnify and hold harmless Veylston SARL-S against any action, claim, or damage arising out of the Participant's dealings with Minute Dating.
14. Penalties and Breaches of Community Rules
Minute Dating enforces a strict, proportional penalty system to protect the safety, privacy, and capital assets of our community. By purchasing a ticket, the participant agrees to the following legal and financial remedies in the event of a breach of our Social Protocol:
-
14.1 Severe Behavioural Violations (Harassment, Aggression, or Unauthorised Photography): Any violation of Rules 1, 2, or 3 of our Social Protocol will result in immediate on-site removal from the venue by our Host, immediate forfeiture of the ticket price with zero right to a refund, and a permanent, non-reversible booking and attendance restriction (a lifetime ban) across our entire European network.
-
14.2 Cooperative Violations (Badge Visibility): All participants must wear their assigned badge visibly on their clothing throughout the entire event. Active refusal to comply with this mandatory rule is classified as an operational disruption, resulting in immediate on-site removal from the venue, ticket forfeiture, and a mandatory 90-day booking suspension to serve as a proportional warning.
-
14.3 Asset Protection Violations (Negligent Loss of Materials): All pens and badges are leased to the participant and remain the exclusive property of the Company. If a participant departs the venue without formally checking out and returning these assets, the Company reserves the right to automatically charge a flat, non-negotiable Replacement Fee of 25 € / 25 CHF (covering raw material replacement, shipping overhead, and administrative labour) directly to the participant's credit card on file, and suspend their booking privileges until the fee is fully settled. The non-return of the paper selection card does not trigger this physical replacement fee, but is governed strictly by the connection results forfeiture outlined in Section 9 of our Terms.
