  • To strengthen our capabilities in data security and fraud prevention

  • To send you updates, notices, booking confirmations, scheduled logistical reminders, urgent SMS alerts (strictly limited to last-minute logistical changes within 24 hours of the event, or active punctuality and attendance checks on-site), post-event connection results, and other information about our Services. If we send you promotional emails, you can choose to opt out and not receiving them anymore by clicking on the unsubscribe link in those emails.

Who we share information with

We may share your information with our authorised third-party service providers who act as Data Processors on our behalf to operate our Services. These include, but are not limited to, our website hosting platform, our email marketing database and newsletter systems, our secure credit card payment processing gateways, and our urgent on-site SMS notification systems. To deliver our core service, we share only your first name and the email address provided at checkout with your verified mutual connections following the conclusion of an event. Your contact details are never shared with any other participant or third party without your explicit consent.

We may also disclose your information in the following circumstances:

  1. to investigate, detect, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities or other wrongdoing, suspected fraud, or security matters

  2. to establish or exercise our defense rights against legal claims

  3. to protect our rights, properties or personal safety, and that of our users or the general public

  4. if we or any of our affiliate companies undergo a change of control, including through a merger, acquisition or purchase of all or substantially all of our assets

  5. to collect, hold and/or manage your information through our authorised third-party service providers (like online service companies), to a reasonable extent for business purposes; or

For participants registering from Switzerland, we process your personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP). Please note that your personal data will be transferred to, stored, and processed within the European Economic Area (EEA) (specifically on secure servers located within the European Economic Area (EEA), including, but not limited to, Ireland and Germany) and may be shared with our authorised third-party processors for the purpose of operating our services. For any transfers of personal data outside of Switzerland or the European Economic Area (EEA) to third-party processors located in third countries (including, but not limited to, the United States), we ensure that appropriate legal safeguards are active, including, but not limited to, the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework (under which our US-based processors are certified), Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or other legally recognised transfer mechanisms. How Minute Dating protects information

The hosting service for our digital Properties provides us with the online platform that enables us to provide the Services to you. Your data may be stored through data storage, database or general applications of our hosting provider. It stores your information on secure servers behind a firewall and offers secure HTTPS access to most of its services.

Rights related to your information

You can access your personal data and obtain a copy of it, obtain the rectification of wrong or incomplete data, oppose to the processing of your data, obtain the deletion of your data under the conditions set out in the Article 17 of the general data protection regulation and the processing limitation under the conditions provided for in Article 18 of the same regulation.
